Custom Designed Products

Cambridge Capacitors can custom design capacitors of many types for specific applications.  These range from adjustable capacitors for Railway signalling applications to large discharge capacitors to trigger lasers.  (For example, 4 x 300 µF at 1700Vdc or 4 x 125 µF at 2900Vdc, in a case 405 x 260 x 320mm.)

Capacitors of a large range of values, and with AC, or DC voltage ratings, can be supplied in cylindrical plastic cases.  Terminations can be solder tags, AMP type push on tags, threaded studs, wire grip, pins or leads (flexible or solid core) of various types, lengths and specifications.  The applications can be for motor run, fluorescent lighting, discharge, commutation, CVT, or other power electronic or specialist applications.  All these can be custom designed to given specifications.   Other capacitors such as wrap and end fill or in a variety of plastic or metal boxes housings can also be offered as required.
